UK-43 Turn 9-14

Start of Turn 9

Containment is all but impossible. As we continue this battle I’m now feeling the strain of those early attacks I made, and have gone the opposite way. His VP count starts to rise, and I give more ground.

GD takes a hit in a counter attack, as do other units. Kharkov is fixing to fall!

We bug out of Stlaine and give up the VP’s with barely a fight.

Soviet spile on the pressure and knock out my defnses!

Pick up the action Turn 11, and as you can see the Kharkov area is secured by Russia and this opens up a lot more choise for him, as he can press the supply forward now. We are in full retreat to the river line.

Its all looking mighty thin. But hs is 2 VP’s behind the pace.

The German line collapse back to the river. Mostly in disarray. Further gaps appear up North and he threatens VP locations  allover the place.

Prior to combat on turn 14 – Soviet turn.

I make every Soviet attack pay a hefty price…which is easily replaced. But I sense an opportunity to slow the blood letting and VP loss.  He is now 4 VP’s behind. We need rain…LOL

They breach the river, but the Germans fight back here heedless of losses. This is what the Germans are designed for. They have limited success. But most units are pushed back to the river edge.

  1. If you make sounds like Panzers moving and shooting as you roll dice, I bet your results will improve. 😉
