MMP or perhaps the Honchos for OCS have got their act together for this module! All the usual things you expect from a OCS monster release; exhaustive OOB research, nuanced special rules for flavour and of course years of real play testing. Its why OCS titles go on my auto order list.
Even better Chip is teasing heavily on forums and social media. I connected with him to grab some unseen shots and wanted to share them with you. I’m pretty excited about this one!
During this play test session we can see the masses of Red Army units forming up against the thin grey line of evil in the October 22nd turn in 1943.
Above the 3 AR massed formations of 3rd Tank and other elements of 1st UK, and huge arty formations bash through the line to encircle the defenders during the Feb 1st turn.
Here behind the Dnepr and Rossava rivers the Soviets using 5th & 8th Mot. 18th Tk + 20th Tk again penetrate decisively to form the Korsun Pocket. In the distance we can see….well nothing. will the Germans be able to respond to this breakthrough?

To date the pre-order sits at 450. Chip is trying to get this monster to its pre-order number of 550.
This would be the fastest monster to hit the numbers for OCS ever [ I think]….This would mean we could see production this year! MMP is doing its best to lift the production cadence. The least we can do is support this effort and anticipate more quality games in 2021 than we can poke a stick at!!

Great photos – in a few (second/third) of them the Soviet players will be ginning from ear to ear and high five-ing each other – while on the Axis side it looks like squeaky bottom time. One of the great things about OCS is sometime you are conducting sweeping engagements, breaking through lines , exploiting into the enemy rear – and others – others it is a stand up slugfest to clear a town or city, no manoeuvre, no finesse, just plenty of artillery and air barrages and big stacks of units trying the kill each other, Have to be proficient at both to “win” a campaign. Have done the pre order – cant wait to see it. MH
