War Stories

I’m very curious about this system. While its been ages since I did the old school D&D and the James Bond RPG from back in the day, I have been tinkering with the new Twilight T2k.

This however offers some interesting avenues for both play and content creation for me.

I would find it very satisfying to take a Squad level game action, and at the right time play through inside this system to allow the ‘characters’ to develop, or dies as needed.

I wonder who the audience for this game will be?

Would you play a RPG set in WWII?

The characters system generation and background builder feels intuitive as it is built on the same Year Zero engine used for T2K.

Now the big question will be how interesting and accurate is combat? Do we generate a ‘realistic’ game or are we way off the mark?

Another consideration will be cost. Its fairly expensive to get into, and so far I do not fully understand what is in the game. Can you be a tank driver?? Which tanks? Or will that be 20 expansions? Going to watch this as it releases in December, I think.

The base game does not come with maps, counters or minis. But in storage I have a rough set of dudes from that Sergeants game [substitute minis not original ]. Which would do in a pinch, and maybe we can use OST/LNLT/Other maps ?

Pretty excited about it.

You know even if it gave off that G.I Joe or old comic book vibe that would be cool too. Off to read the Quickstart!
