Turn 1 of the custom Bulge scenario in Beyond the Rhine from MMP had the Germans closing in on Bastogne [4 day turns] .
In an effort to seal of reinforcements for the vital bastogne location, the Germans over extend. This provides the US with some choices to try and cut supply in the rear of these units.
The early battle on the Southern flank of Bastogne:
The US scramble to get units into the fight. 10th Armoured does a great job pushing elements of Lehr back!
One odd thing here is lack of transport. with just 6 rail SP and sometimes 8 or more SP arriving for the US /UK a lot of supply sits at map edge. Only 2 trucks are provided for the scenario. I’m assuming its a play balance mechanism. But it means that most units will do nothing the entire 9 turns while the Germans get to place supply in home towns near the action.
Situation end of Turn 1/Start Turn 2 Dec 19th:
EDIT. I mistakenly used clear weather instead of snow for ground movement….Im an idiot.
