The Advance Guard and 1st Column advance through heavy fog at a slow pace.
During the 7am hour Kienmayer and Dokhturov’s forces pick up the pace and approach Telnitz from the South and the Sokolnitz bridge. As the Russians and Austrians move the Tir Corses advance to the hilltop to obtain a better view through the orchards hoping to identify exactly where the sound of march is coming from through the pea soup like fog.

Similarly Davout’s 3rd Line regiment advances as well, to root out the enemy. As they round the hillock, Kienmayer prepares to either launch into Telnitz or cross the bridge!
However the move by Davout is aggressive! He launchs across the stream, and stacks up ready to receive Doctorov. NOT what I was expecting. While they forgo the stream benefit, I’m wary of how fragile the darn Russkies/Austrians can be. I’ll have to get into a really good position to be able to take him quickly.
As the turn wraps up, Davout uses his last activation to fire Arty into the thinning fog as the units appear before them! Sadly they all miss.

We neglected to move 3C [in the center] , preferring instead to get the Russian Guard going in the right direction as well as putting some perceived pressure on the North by moving the RG dummy up that way. 2nd Column advances up Pratze and if we win the initiative on the 8am turn, we can push Kienmayer across the stream and towards their objective as well as positioning to attack Telnitz. If we are lucky, Davout will give up Telnitz to protect his rear…or he could change orders and launch himself onto the heights for all I know!
