INS The Guards- reboot- turn 1,2

Oh my Goooooosh

XXX Corps bring son wrong reinforcements not once but twice. I set up the VSAV incorrectly.

It is now corrected.

Except I missed bringing in some units this time instead of brining too many on…



 



Turn 2

In Turn 2 the Allies bring the correct reinforcements on….Nice for a change.

You can see the situation. The Germans are almost isolated!

 

Start of turn 3 below.

Lots if niggly Nazis in the edges. Looking to block supply. They are primarily in place to keep the Allies honest and screening the flanks.

 

They moved 1 exploit capable German to Son, just in time.

 

Lots of OOS allies lunging for key terrain. But Germans refuse to DG then refuse to die! So the road will remain blocked.

As I mentioned in my other reboot. The main idea I think here is that the Allies in these shorter scenarios can risk be out of supply more readily, knowing that no major German Panzer force will sweep in and attack everyone while you are at 50% of defense strength.

So if you lunge deep, then hope the 2nd echelon does its job clearing up behind you then you are ok. In turn 2 the Brits did not destroy all of the units blocking the supply path. So turn 3 will be rough on the Allies. Though even in the reduced state of capability the Brits are tough to handle for the ineffective 1-2-6 German Ersatz and similar units.

 

Valkemwaald is keeping units out of supply [OOS] So it MUST clear turn 3.

 

Now the Guard will have a real hard time making tough timetable. We have OOS units in Eindhoven though.

There will be no stopping for tea!
