We pick up the action in our soon to be long running DAK2 game from the OCS system.
C’wealth Turn:
In the far West on Map A the Commonwealth choose prudence of valour. They pull back, allowing the Germans room to advance but hopefully not over run their new positions. In the distance from the SE the winds pick up and portents suggest a storm is coming.
A Trainbusting attempt was made with no effect near the Germans along the coastal road.
East of Tobruk the troops stream eastward using Strategic Movement, and trucks deposit supplies in anticipation of a long drawn out fight. It is interesting to remember that ONLY 20 hedgehogs may be built in the entire campaign per side. I was about to begin a 2nd ring around Tobruk. This review of the rules gave me pause. It is also noteworthy that the Greek War track remained unchanged and we have a few untrained units that require movement along their respective tracks also.
As we gear up for turn 2, or April 1st 1941, heavy winds stir the dust out of the Sahara. Clouds 1,000 feet high darken and swirl with malevolent intent. Not rain clouds. But SandStorms. Will this aid or hinder Rommel and his plans in Africa?
