Aspern Essling [NBS System], intermittent game play but it is great to see the superb system has lost none of its charm.

 

Case Blue [OCS Scenario] – We are very close to wrapping this one up. I’m helping a new to the system player learn the ropes, he is learning just as much as I am!

EFS System in the AGC module, we are about to start Turn 7 here! Still lots of game to play out.

NATO Air commander, we got thru two turns. Need to set it up again now that I am back in town.

 

Wait what happened to Under an Iron Sky? Well my opponent and I agreed that PBeM was too file intenisve(this is a highly interactive game) for us to continue. Which is a blow.

 I really cant ascertain if this is ‘the WW3’ game!! 😉 until I get a full opposed campaign play in.

Our grind over the air war and Flak with log files detracted a lot from the experience. But I still think that there is a lot of good game, that perhaps with some further development or perhaps abstraction might have sped up game play…[Im looking at you sea of Flak counters!] Then again maybe with further abstraction there you lose some fidelity or fun that I have not experienced yet.  So what I will do tho is post the notes and game play executed to date for everyone to take a look at.

 

Last August I started planning a CityFight play by Poll, it staggers me that a year has passed with just the OOB setup taken care of. I’m LAZY!!!  Time to get moving on this!

Read/Reading the rules for:

For Race to Tunis, and Bloody Kasserine from GDW,  & Angola S&T 290. Pretending to read the rules for Streets of Stalingrad and Hurtgen Hell-GOSS.

Reading rules for War in the Pacific, SPI, for which I was considering a VASSAL PBeM but this will not be viable due to sequence of play, so likely more of a solo endeavour.

As far as write ups go, I have a back log for Smolensk the OCS title, Bloody Monday, Attila from the GBoH series, Austerlitz all to come. Plus a image gallery of a full replay of DAK2 to share!

 

I’ve started play on a TCS title set in 1940 and hoping to do VASSAL play of one set in 1939, finally rummaging thru Freedom in the Galaxy and Twilight : 2000 rules for fun.
