That’s really a nice-looking game. Counters seem to be ****right on that edge**** of good design vs. overdoing it. Map has a nice operational feel (although, if this is winter ’44/45, why are the forests in spring/summer foliage?) I’m sure all the symbology would make sense to someone who was up on the rules. Although, I don’t know why companies waste so much cardboard on making their pieces “individual punch-outs”, instead of lining them up in a sprue. I wonder which die-cutting strategy is LESS expensive, all things considered?
