Austerlitz PBEM /5 9AM

PBEM Rising Eagles play continues:

9AM and the visibility reaches further. Now four hexes. Soult men move out, The hidden units of Napoleon The Reserve Cav and the Grenadiers move toward Pratze. In the North Lannes and the other dummies move down the road to begin exposing the Russian Right.

Move Alexander dummy to expose two formations.

This ends up being Napoleon and the Imperial Guard itself. Surely then the Reserve Cav will be near by as well?

He spots some of my units!

We have an evolving situation in the South. We need to beat on Davout a bit, to both force him to the defensive and reduce his ability to re capture flags.

3rd Column moves to take up positions in town and then the French play Scouts exposing Langerons force!

Olsuviev, Kamenski and Langerons’s Arty deploy!!!

He uses scouts to clear away a few more dummies

The French change orders: “Going to Change Davout’s orders to defend the same red spot north of the bridge”

The French then move Napoleon

Kienmayer attempts to activate…and fails, so we move Gd closer to 5th Column in the center.

Effective arty fire pushes back the French and we can almost see the gates of Solkolnitz castle! The French rout away after a close fight.

Kienmayer attacks again below and drives off the Cav.

Nice shooting!

Meanwhile the Austrians surround the isolated 15 Leger and eliminate the force!

This was good!

We deploy Kollowrath above. He will either press on Lannes from Lanne’s right or defend and pick away at the mass coming along with the Imperial Guard.

Below are approximate positions at 9Am end turn. I had to put back some units that were strat moved in error.

By end turn, we move routed units, and my orders for the next turn to change are…0. 10AM it could get ugly. Let’s pray for a fast turn. This was exceptionally long for such an early game turn.

There are some holes in my plan. IV corps if supported either by the French Reserve Cav and or Imperial Guard could sweep up to the heights. I have left a substantial gap. Ideally I’ve love the Imperial guard to press the Pratze village or the gap between Pratze and Blaswitz. Then I could focus 4 Corps on him to his 2. But I fear I may have made it look too threatening. Only time will tell. Or Reserve Cav could trot down and massacre more 3rd Column….EEK. I have Russian Guard and the Cav in reserve in the center.. but with no real effective orders. They are where they are supposed to be.
