The Macedonian fleet of Hellas Triremes establishes a shipping route from Amphipolis to Abydo, while 1 smaller detachment sailed to Sestos under the command of Amphihoteros to ferry Alexanders two armies from Sestos to the mainland.
Parmenion moves his army [Army 2] to Adramyttion without incurring a supply check or foraging. Prior to Alexander beginning his journey.
They address the gates of the D class city and request their noble surrender. They refuse. Parmenion, is not angry. Lessons often are best learned the hard way. The assault is savage and quick. the 5 factors of defenders are easily overwhelmed by the 65 Combat factors in Parmenion’s force. Total MP’s spent 9.
This only secures one Talent for the Army for the loss of a size point worth of Hoplites in the assault. The assault does strike fear into the greater Satrapy which now moves into neutral mode at the savageness of the Greek approach to war.
Meanwhile along the coastal plains of Thrace:
Alexanders army, split into two columns [Army #1 & Army #3 ] moves through Thrace eventually crossing the Hebdros river and forages along the way.
Alexanders two columns have 36 and 29 size steps respectively. Each have enough Light Cavalry foraging and no opposition which will allow them to generate sufficient supplies for both armies while not devastating the land. Army number one does its first check at the ten movement points spent mark as does Army #2.
[Army 1 rolls with 1LC foraging and a -2 for the month of April with an 8 rolled they earn a +1 to the Forage available for a net of [-2-1= -1] 6-1 for Forage .
Alexanders army #1 only requires 4 supply points and given that the net Forage available is 5 [6-1 from above] they do not deplete the land.
Similarly Army #3 who only requires 3 Supply also roll an 8 and use 1 Light Cavalry generating the same result a net of 5 forage available and consume just three SP.
They continue on and are ferried across generating another supply check for hitting 20 movement points. This time Alexander rolls a 10, for a net Forage adjustment of 0, and once again take four supply [SP] . Similarly Army #3 secures 3 supply points under the same method.
