Oh, what a huge blow!!! Now there was a LEGEND!!!
Its interesting that his BBC obit mentioned his role as British MG Urquhart in A Bridge Too Far, but not his early role as Pvt Flanagan in its predecessor big-budget movie, the Longest Day. Pretty big promotion in just a few months of combat!
Almost the most interesting was as the former Squadron Sergeant Major in “The Hill” in 1965. A racking “anti-war movie” and really well acted.
or even “cracking”!
