Well the Attack from Sector B, blew a big hole! The Overloon situation is slowly stabilizing, and the Allies are a bit miffed.
As we can see in this close up the Allies recall units of the 44th to cover the supply for the road.
We attack near overloon, to try and keep the VP hex.
We knock another step off, but not what we really hoped for – a retreat.
As the Germans scatter seeking to block supply routes, we realize that they have now first of all drawn a lot of Brigades that cant be used to assault the Waal, and the German re capture for the moment of Helmond knocks a VP off. With the Germans scattering south, it is just a moment before they put a zone of control over both supply routes.
The Yanks launch across the river! And below the Brits about face to recapture Helmond! But that is a turn they are not attacking Overloon! 😉
The out of supply FJ’s drive on Eindhoven. The German breach while thin is long! The attacks below dont go the Allies way. and ZOCs stay on the road.

The Germans are now regaining some control. Even over in Overloon we can happily exchange losses to keep the towns VP’s.
Overloons protection has been expensive with both side attacking recklessly!
The Germans threaten supply in 3 areas. The OOS units heading to Eindhoven, the Forces near Veldhoven and the deeper push South of Valkenswaard. The Allies can track thru Heez and stay in supply for sure, but this soaks off 9 brigades from the primary assault.
Quick reaction by German forces locks in the 82nd across the Maas, and we have enough forces to literally clog the line to the River, until game end. I had sadly not ‘seen’ the rail bridge across the Lower Rhine at Rhenen… I don’t know why. [well I do, its because I am an idiot !!] I had been breaking down two step units all game to cross, and had no armour their either. It was not until about Turn 16 that I saw the bridge and starting using Rail bridge to cross Armour. sheesh.
The attacks by the B zone units were successful! We count up Vp’s to check in – it’s a dead heat, and the Germans are causing havoc. We agree to call an end to the battle at this point.
