Invading Austria on turn 1 is imperative. Also, you were looking for a way to use your Soviet airmobile and marine units: cut Denmark’s mainland forces from Copenhagen for a quick score on turn 1 or 2. I haven’t played this game in 20 years but I do remember the crushing air superiority of NATO offsetting the best manuvering of the Pact forces.
Indeed. Latest theory from some of our play is go big in Italy turn 1.
