One of the neat things about WAW85 is the manner in which they allocate resources with these color coded formations and cards. This provides the scenario designer and the system massive flexibility.

Grey units are ‘independent’ and can be attached to create reinforced companies or Battalions. So no need to have counters for every single formation.

I just wrapped up a fast but deadly run through Scenario #3, From Storming the Gap. 2 maps a tiny but deadly force of US units on the run try to stem the advancing Soviet juggernaut!
