I vote for to reset the table. If the game is supposed to simulate what we thought would happen during the ’80’s when Cold War turned to hot, the Soviets should be doing MUCH better. All one heard about in those days was that NATO was so outnumbered in armor the USSR would probably achieve and overrun in the war’s initial stages and NATO would have to prepare to regroup behind the Elbe and await reinforcements.
What was the gist of the general commentary about this game in terms of play balance in the eighties, when it was the rage of men with mullets?
Evenly balanced game with a lean on Soviets if they play smart and get lucky with weather as I recall.
If you like this game you should really like War and Peace, on old Avalon Hill Classic.
Hmm. I’m about to play that against a Rules Lawyer… I mean an old lawyer… Or is that retired Lawyer…retried Lawyer…Hi!!
