This turn the Germans have to not only accelerate the pace but compensate for a tentative start…
End of the German turn.. hmm so much for a real schwerpunkt. Still needing to plan better and execute the right units to right locations
I’m looking for open space, to be opportunistic with. The attacks were successful 1 step loss, we do push back the Russians, but fail to knock many steps off.
Ugh…. North of Stalino is a cluster and it’s a rail hub to boot. Voloshilovgrad is approached, but we are not ready to attack yet.
We breakthru attack on Rostov on a risky 2:1 attack at take a a1/d1, he then does a successful stand there. Not a good start. I may have to forego the VP race, and look for opportunities to pocket a lot of units… I dunno.
Running to white space is not a ‘plan’!
Start of Turn3 :
I’ve seen a few S’42 playthroughs, and this is the first where the Germans have gotten ANY traction in the south, near Rostov. So, that should count for *something*…
