The Allies press into Tobruk, using 7th Armoured and assorted forces.
They capture the italian leader Maletti in a fierce fight for the town. Losing two of their own in the process
Literally just in time as the Germans begin to arrive.
Rommel and elements of 5 Le and 15th Panzer arrive on the scene.
They quickly envelope Tobruk, we fortunately have some supply and can roll for 1 to arrive a turn with a 50% chance of success.
April 1941
Its at this point both sides are receiving a lot of reinforcement and are pretty spent.
As the Allies its in my best interests to lay low as supplies dwindle April May in Tobruk, much of 7th Armoured is to be replaced, knowing this I do admin move and juggle the forces into place that will remain. If the Axis had been adjacent to me, it would have been a disaster!
Both sides are now set for June, where much of 7th arrives in Alexandria reinforced and up gunned, The Allies spend time preparing for an assault on Mersa. If I know my opponent, he will want to methodically take Bardia and Sidi Barrani, rather then leaping to Mersa to cut of those forces. He will also spend the time and treasure to reduce Tobruk. The question will be, does he split forces, leaving a holding element to keep Tobruk isolated and hope I succumb to surrender die rolls or will he physically attempt to take it?
