More Africa Theater warfare from The Gamers design team.
Building on the legacy of DAK and DAK2, we can see that the fthird BCS [Battalion Combat System] title and the system overall is in good historical hands.
While down at the platoon scale the developer and researchers have been hard at it refining Ariete for the newly formated TCS [Tactical Combat System] game to go forward with. Everything must be squeezed into a single counter sheet and a single map including info counters!
The good news is – its cheap to buy. Just $27 to get a taste of the best system out there today for Platoon based warfare.
Then you can go source soon to be scarce TCS battles that rage over 2 or more maps with Battalions duking it out.
SCS [Standard Combat System] also gets a nod, with more East Front [can you really blame them 😉 ], with a look at Rostov in ’41.
Early Pre orders for the two desert titles stand at under 50. Lets watch and see how quickly they make the grade to 500 copies. Especially since this new format for TCS is going to boost sales significantly as those box costs were too high to warrant the investment.
I am inclined to consider pledging to these three for the preorder pricepoint and subject.
All Hail!
I have and enjoy both the gamers SCS and OCS games….love em….
How does the BCS series compare?
I’m a specifically concerned about the alternating formation activations….
Seems strange to me…
What sayest thou?
BCS is a unique beast. Excellent system for games that don’t have mountains of formations.
