The Battle of Paraetacene 317 B.C.
Antigonus charges his Heavy Cavalry into the flanks of the Eumenean Hoplites with devasting effect.
Nicanor presses the Hoplites into the elite Eumene Silver Shields.
Arrows rain on the cavalry who are armed with just Javelins or Lances. Lighter forces try to cover the Hoplite flank but are too slow!
Both sides meet in a crush of horse and men, with Elephants advancing ponderously on the far flank in a refused formation.
The wealth of action is for sure on Antigonus’ right. But his left is heavily engaged with a shoving match while cavalry attempt to prevent encirclement. Eumenes looks to pull more cavalry from his right to the left flank!
