Victory Conditions review, prior to playing as I’ve written a few times I like to take a look at the VC’s and examine the lie of the land a bit.
As with many Nappy game VPS are accrued for killing or breaking units. Which can impact the morale of the entire formation as the body count goes up. The geographical VP’s are allocated per turn. They all start in contol of the Prussians. The scenario we ended up playing was #4. So not the true meeting engagement of #5. The Prussians earn 70 vp a turn for controlling these 7 locations.
The Objective flags (7) are worth 10 VP per turn for a total of 490.
1VP per enemy Strpt
2 VP per enemy Cav or Arty SiP [Strength pt] eliminated.
You also earn pts for Wounded killed officers and Flags captured [a CRT result] typically 10 VP per instance.
Our scenario starts with some units exposed and others not. Giving the French a lot of flexibility and taxing the Prussians who must cover a large area with just one Corps.
After doing some reading of others game play with this title it appears that there are strong views on who can win and why. We will see how the game plays out .
