I’m 5+ turns in and I’m not a fan of the supply mechanic, specifically the SDM.
I totally get what it is trying to replicate and it is sort of neat in how if shows the pull & degradation of the supply lines in trying to keep up with an offensive, but it just seems onerous. Picking them up, putting them down, counting hexes, then tracing to a unit to determine supply status – this all takes as much time as some of the movement and combat phases. Could it have delivered the same result if there was just a turn by turn by formation allocation of supply points allowing attacks to be supported?
