Got Mr Roberts to sign my copy, and also my copy of his Napoleon work: Napoleon: A Life – October 20, 2015. I have not read the Churchill release yet.

However it is the 1010th book on Winston Churchill! 

So why another? Well he is or was the first person to have access to King Georges diary, and meeting notes for this period. So it gives another fresh and interesting view of not only their relationship, but also the Kings bemusement at not really understanding Churchill’s sense of humour.

Andrew went on to share several fascinating stories, and ended up knowing people in common with my father in law pictured left.  I’ve read some books on Churchill; this will be my next effort! I shall check in when done and let you all know what I think. Mr. Roberts was very humble and unassuming, taking time with my Father in Law which meant a lot to him, as a Churchill’ophile . He belongs to a group here in town that meets each year to have dinner and discuss Churchill.
