Fire & Movement # 79

The other interesting snippet from Issue # 79 of Fire & Movement editorial was the discussion around the core tenant of F&M. Their offer to designers to comment on or rebut critical reviews. I had already assumed that if invited to do so that a designer would JUMP at the opportunity to engage the audience and if a negative review refute, correct or mitigate the damage of the review. As we have seen so often this is healthy debate and wonderful discourse and a sterling example of 1st Amendment discussion under the auspices of a magazine format.  F&M, of course lay the gotcha down “we will call out all those who do not respond!!” lol. 

I’m really enjoying re reading these older magazines. Its refreshing to see healthy debate instead of teh lazy name calling or rallying of the ‘social media posse’ to troll. Good times.
