Just a note, that despite the comments about excessive cost, this game has some amazing effort put into the art work and production values. As well as game play mechanics.
You might get 50 or 75 minis for some ‘RPG style, Euro/warEuro game. But the art work here in this title is some next level …and I’ll say it next level shit!
Amazing.
So in the end I do ‘appreciate’ the push back on cost of this title, but two things stand out.
1. Replay value is HUGE + expansion adds more dimensions.
2. Art, components and quality of this stature take time, money and skill. They deserve some praise and acknowledgement in the evaluation of cost.
Sometimes it is not a straight X Units x Y cost per unit process.
It is more nuanced. Crowbar is one such animal, along with some others that require appreciation beyond the multi thousand volume of the latest exploding kittens, or rebooted tarted up boxed edition of some moldy oldie from a dead publisher that we fantasize about being ‘so great in its day’. A better coat of lipstick wont make that pig look that much better…..
Here we receive full dues.
Design thoughtfulness. Amazing components. A solid but not awesome rule book [ it could use some refinement], smart game play, clever mechanics, and massive replay value for the solo gamer.
If those things wont light your wood…well shit.. It is probably wet.
