Northern Sector:

Weak oddsd preclude the Soviets doing much, where attacks go in they are ending up as minor retreats for the Germans or Soviets losses/retreats.

Turn 2

Soviets lack the speed to do real damage and isolate here. I suspect it would have been better to run 2Tk up the middle and cause mayhem. Will try that next play.

Turn 3

End of Turn 3 the Germans succeed in the North not losing units and trading space for time. In the center they battle fiercely for control and each side inflicts losses.. In the South the line holds for the moment, bt the crossing is gaining momentum.

Turn 4

The Germans keep pounding excellent counter attacks and even a few over runs, knocking out steps and even killing off a few units. We can see how thin the Soviet center is. In the center across the river the Soviets have a clean beachhead. And while suffering mightily, have held on and prepare to press the Germans. Yet another army however is approaching [70^th] which will fill that gap.

Well into turn 6 The Germans realize they cannot despite running a strong defence in the Center and North be successful, due to the large land spaces cleared of their presence in the South.

Each pair of 2 hexes 2 r more hexes away from a German unit across the River is worth a VP. This is not going ot be corrected as the Soviets have displaced and will shortly isolate the Germans in the South. No counter attack from the North can prevail!
