A probing force of battalions of AA, engineers and a rag tag group of infantry head North up the coast lines interior roads to Liepara the first port that needs to be cleared.

 

The primary motorway to Riga is cleared by 1st,6th and 8th Pzr, with the 3rd and 36th Mot. supporting. They move rapidly and First Panzer cuts NW to finalize surrounding half a dozen formation four of which are armor. 

The rest of the armor formations press past Siauliai, Northwards and engage 2Tk at Radviliaskis with a limited result of pushing them back, versus annihilation. 

Infantry, Arty and Rail conversion elements struggle to keep pace.

A loose screen keeps the right flanks secure. The most meager advance occurs towards Kaunas. With odds and sods refusing to retreat, surrender or die.

It is at this stage I elect to bring the SS Totenkopf to support this southernmost effort along the demarcation between ARN and AGC.
