8 APC’s are burning.

Wittman calmly directs fire.

Brandt and Lotzch flank.

Then Cromwells burn.

German tank #634 engine fails.

German Infantry 1/2 squads move to support.

Chaos ensues.

The English throw pannikins of tea aside.

Engines rev, cough to life.

Men board weapons of destruction.

Thick smoke roils the air.

Secondary explosions throw shudders through hard men.

  1. Dang! They LOCKED your thread on BGG?! Their call, I guess. I was one of the geek modders that saw your AAR come thru. I voted to accept it (with a few reservations), but I guess I got outvoted.

Personally, I like to read session reports to see how the game plays when I am deciding whether or not to buy a game. Frankly, you didn’t give me much to work with there. OTOH, I also realize that session reports are different things for different people, and I may be an army of one in what I like, so I went past that.

If I had any problem, I guess I was slightly worried that it was on the insubstantial side– handing out 0 GG isn’t an option, and I don’t want to reward people’s GG farming efforts who send in weak session reports. ONE turn of the entire scenario? I thought at the time: ‘not too much text’ but as I said, I approved it because you were going for the arty approach and you DID include photos (not that photos are required, but they made up for the lack of text)..

You kinda threw me with the Tiger counter with a ‘track’ marker on it, at first I thought, “cool, they actually track M-Kill damage” but then you didn’t refer to any track throwing in your AAR so I started to doublethink myself.

Anyhow, it was an interesting and thoughtful effort on your part, and it is too bad it didn’t get approved.

  2. ThanksRon. No big deal. The track was indeed an engine fail, which is marked (in special Scenario rule) with a track hit. This is part of a set of posts (it says turn 5) I was sharing an arty snippet…oh well.
