One of the nice things about DAK is that there are multiple campaign starting points given in the rules. While I think rewinding is the correct option in your case, I think I would be tempted to just restart from the last campaign start and go from there if things got too out of hand. And by too out of hand I mean that it’s obvious that one side is about to get crushed into dust.
Like the new site, only downside is that it’s blocked at work (contains ‘gaming’ in the URL).
