Blocks in Afrika

I actually had a little time to sit down and look at this package.

It was a bit overwhelming when it first arrived, as it is the linchpin for the modules. Lots of books for this and that. But as I went thru the BiA rule book I was struck by how far Vento Nuovo games has come with its rele book lay out and clarity. Lots more examples lots more images to help you.

Then I looked at the scenarios. Really excellent scenario lay out for the smaller – Torch, Compass etc sized games. Which you can play very quickly.

The Uber edition art is pretty slick – check these counter stickers out!

So then back to the whole linked campaign thing. It is big. But these charts will really help:

Play aid cards, the Trilogy rule booklet, and Scenario booklets all make for a comprehensive package once you sit down and sort out what you need to do.

I think for me I’d like to see a spreadsheet of the BiA scenarios with a list of the units deployed, and maybe a guide to the grand campaign perhaps a few turns done on video by them to kick start your play.

  1. Looks pretty interesting! Perhaps a good addition to the 2 games already? Do you, by chance, have another copy (I know you do) that you could part with for a price?

    1. Oh and yes, if you ever wanted to play the entire WWII with this system you need this game. It has the linking rules, 1939 set up etc etc etc.

  2. I only have my copy. I think you might see a free shipping offer really soon. BUt you did not hear that from me…;)
